In Budapest the capital of Hungary, there is a wine cellar that opens 6 days a week except Wednesday. While you give your opinion you can actually taste (drink) the wine. You will be guided by various English speaking wine experts, who will guide you through where the wines are made in Hungary and also explain the evaluation of the wine. The Faust is the name of the wine cellar in Budapest which is situated in Budapest Castle District within the Hilton Hotel. You can taste or more like drink several wine when you are there and also they have some beautiful historic kitchen accessories.
I got to go to this wine cellar last week and I received two gift vouchers for me and wife from our local wine tasting community. It was a present to us from them as we have been wine experts for over 15 years now. We actually got to learn a lot of Hungarian wine when we over there. There were various experts from different parts of the World sharing their knowledge. It was a great learning curve.
This has to be one of the many underrated wine cellars around the World, and I believe every wine lover should visit the Faust. We are definitely planning to pay the Faust another visit and also hoping this time it would be more than 4 days as we want to see the other side of Budapest too.

Admittedly, one thing England isn’t necessarily known for is the wine. We’re huge consumers of European and international wines but rarely consider purchasing wine produced in the UK. Despite the English’s lethargic adoption of their own wine, wine produced here has been classed as unique and excellent, overcoming criticisms that the social in the UK is far too acidic.
Whilst England might not have the climate that produces Italian, Spanish or French wines, vineyards in areas like Kent often produce excellent yields (similar to those of vineyards in France).
Wine produced in England has slowly but steadilly built a reputation for giving unique, interesting and enticing flavours that have been noted as markedly different from more traditional European wines. English vineyards produce some incredible grape varieties (including Pheonex, Bacchus and many more) which help them to stand apart from the more classic, traditional chardonnays.
English wine is also extremely reasonably priced, as it doesn’t have to be imported for UK stores to stock it. This means you can get a wine of comparable quality and taste to the more traditional varieties for considerably less.
The ideal addition to any summer barbeque, there are white and red English wines available for your selection. It shouldn’t be particularly hard to find either, with a lot of the bigger supermarkets and stores now actively promoting English wine. If you do struggle to find a variety of English wines to choose from at your local store, don’t overlook the option of buying wine online. Purchasing wine through the internet can not only save you money (as online shops don’t have the same overheads as physical stores) but also enjoy a much larger variety of wines to choose from.
So the next time you’re planning on holding a barbeque, house party or the like, why not give your guests the option of some English wine and help them discover a new home-grown favourite.
